THAT IS THE MOST PRECIOUS THING. Really, I have no idea why you're not OOZING OUT MIA-WRITING CONFIDENCE, because she is just entirely perfect. It feels exactly like trodding around in her head would, and everything she does for Phoenix (making up burglars so that he has a place to stay! buying him pizza and beer! ;__;) is disgustingly adorable, beautifully balanced out by her manhandling him and telling him to PULL HIS SHIT TOGETHER. It definitely displays every last aspect of her character, and does so fabulously. I love the way you wrote her loneliness, too -- it's never the crippling BAW SO ARONE sort, but you can tell it was hard on her from how relieved she has to have someone around. And Phoenix, oh my God he is so adorable. I basically wanted to grab his cheeks from the first line he showed and then NOT LET GO until the very end of the fic. Phoenix/Mia is def. SORELY UNDERLOVED, and this did a glorious job of making up for it, delving into their characters and the relationship between them wonderfully. Like, everything I love ( ... )
