Dare #29 Sandra Roth

Apr 22, 2012 23:20

Dear Dad,
I've been having a blast exploring the old Hills house.  There are so many bits and scraps of things out here, just stories waiting to be told.  Don't go telling me not to be fanciful, just figure out when you can take a vacation--maybe August when Belladonna is sweltering and stinky.  I've pretty much finished Grandpa and Grandma's room.  I mailed all Grandma's stuff to Aunt Cate and Aunt Wills, as you asked.  Grandpa's stuff is waiting for you.
You'll never guess what I found under Aunt Sandra's bed.  I remember you told me once that she wasn't at all sentimental, but who else could have saved a shoebox full of newspaper clippings?  I scanned a few for you.  I know Aunt Sandra was quite a lot older than you, but I'm sure you'll remember some of these events.  Heck, I remember when Aliens Among Us was published.  I still wonder how she knew how much I'd love the Hills, and why she left the Hills house to me.  Any luck finding out what happened to Grandma Stella after the divorce?
Hugs,
Cass

Toddler Miss Belladonna Cove, Sandra Roth, was selected after a six day pageant.  Miss Roth is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Morty Roth.  Miss Roth carries on a family tradition, as her mother, then Miss Stella Chesterton, was selected Junior Miss Belladonna Cove in '76.

Our intrepid reporters caught up with teen heartthrob Sandra Roth in her new home in Riverblossom Hills.
GG: "Sandra, what do you think of quaint Riverblossom Hills?"
SR: "I love it here.  Spots lives in our own stable now, three steps from the back porch.  I ride before school every day!  I'm so glad we moved."
GG: "What about your parents' divorce?  Any truth to the rumors your mother hated Riverblossom Hills?"
SR: "Sometimes things just don't work out.  Did you know I have a dressage competition this weekend?"

Where are they now?  Our reporter caught up with former teen heartthrob Sandra Roth at her family home in Riverblossom Hills, home for Spring Break from Academe Le Tour, where she's majoring in history.

Newly minted Dr. Sandra Roth has caused a furor with her recently published thesis examining historical alien and sim interactions.  Dr. Roth makes her home in Riverblossom Hills, far from the common sites of alien activity.  Dr. Roth is currently studying the Twikkii Island Artifacts which some suggest are indicative of ancient alien interactions.
"Actually, at this time, there's no evidence of alien influence on the Twikkii civilizations.  This is unexpected, as the majority of alien activity happens in SimNation's warmer regions, with most abductions reported from Strangetown and Pleasantview, from which we hypothesized that the alien homeworld is much warmer than ours, though that could also be a sim selection bias, rather than an alien.  Riverblossom Hills tends to be too cold for stargazing long hours.  Much could be cleared up if Mr. Smith or Dr. Terrano were willing," Dr. Roth said.

Best selling author, Dr. Sandra Roth, shown here with her latest book: 'Aliens among us: the Caliente Clan', which takes on the difficult topic of part-aliens passing as true sims, makes her home in Riverblossom Hills with five cats, three birds, four dogs, and a horse.
