I vote...Masha! Because it's kind of a Gorky reference and I love Gorky. This should be interesting, and while I hope you get back to Ksnyatin Point, I'll be patient. I totally understand wanting to take a break from one story.
I feel a bit feckless because of taking a break from Ksnyatin, but, well... forcing myself to write when I don't know what to write wouldn't give any good, either.
From the other hand, forcing yourself sometimes results in inspiration. You just have to face the foreigness of your own story, and then you just... break on through to the other side?
By the way, when is it ok to use "break on through", and when it isn't? Is it a phrasal verb? My english grammar book mentions only "break through". :D

What sort of beta are you looking for? Sentence-level stuff (grammar/spelling), or plotty stuff (what needs to be explained more, etc.)? I'm okay for both, if you can't find anyone else.
Well, I've decided that she's definitely not Sasha, because it's a short version for Alexandra, and that doesn't suit her at all. Masha is a short version for Maria, and IMO, it suits her better than Sonya, but nobody wouldn't call her Maria anyway... Sanmashya Lolziovavna?..
I am looking more for a plotty type beta (with the exception of when my grammar gets so bad that the sentence doesn't make sense, or it makes, but not in the way it should, or it sounds hilarious), but any kind of feedback would be great - I just want to know what should I expect when it will be posted public for everyone. I haven't found anyone else so far, so I've added you to my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle friends group. I'll post "Prologue I" in a week and will make that entry visible only to Turtles. (:
