*zocalo blocks his ears and eyes so not to hear about ridiculous $5 pad thais when that money can only get you a soft drink in a restaurant in Oslo*

Perhaps because Oslo'ians realize that soft drinks are bad for you, compulsive consumption causes too many health issues which causes a strain on the public health system and therefore in order to pay for it and serve as a deterent, raise the price?

Or am I just being silly?
