"A word of warning: This topic is dry and technical. To be brutally honest, one might even call it boring."

--my econ textbook, on the study of cost incurred by firms during production

If something is boring after two minutes, try it for four. If still boring, then eight. Then sixteen. Then thirty-two. Eventually one discovers that it is not boring at all.

The first question I ask myself when something doesn't seem to be beautiful is why do I think it's not beautiful. And very shortly you discover that there is no reason.

There is poetry as soon as we realize that we possess nothing.

Though I have never known the way to boredom.

Dammit Miles, where the hell have you been? I live in New York City now, Brooklyn. You still at Brown? Come hang out. I'll try and date someone new, and break up with her before you get here, so you can make out with another ex of mine. It'll be a good time.
