I am going to say I don't like harry Potter one little bit, but I read this anyway and loved it. There's a real air of magic about it! I love all the little details about Francis, Antonio and Gilbert and the way Arthur flits in just long enough to be there. (Somehow I imagine he's a malicious little trouble maker)

I also like that Wales made his appearance on the side (I don;t know alot about the Potterverse but somehow he strikes me as a bit of a hufflepuff, and I imagine Ireland as being very much a Ravenclaw!

This was really great and lived up to what i know about Moonlightens work. the characetrisation and sense of longing was wonderful. I also loved America in this. He was very America despite only being there for a while. I hope I get to read a little more of this at some point. I really enjoyed it!

Ahaha, glad to see that you still liked it then despite the !verse it's set in. I have to say, I'm not a hardcore hp fan myself, but got rather swept away when pottermore came out and tumblr was awash with it and the urge to re-read Shoebox came over...

I have a soft spot for desperate longing >__< I kind of imagine Scotland being the poster child for it when they first meet, haha. I don't think it ever really goes away even after they get together.. In the beginning, at least? Scotland always seems to be much more emotionally invested.

America does a lot more winkwinknudgenudge-ing after he finds out who exactly has been keeping Scotland up all those nights, usually when France is around, much to Scotland's horror.

Oh this was fantastic, you nailed Scotland's awkward teenager confusion very well and the descriptions of France, how he moves and talks and flirts, was very expressive, easily imaginable. Also the friendship between the badtouch trio was a very nice touch, and I laughed a lot over England's charmed eyebrows.

Not to forget Alfred, that was a very cute role you gave him, I can imagine the two of them to have that sort of friendship going on.

And this:

Alasdair wonders then if Francis had not hit him in the stomach with the butterfly spell too.

was a really beautiful idea.

Thank you for sharing!

Awkward teenager confusion is always the best type of confusion there is :3 I quite like torturing Scotland with it, haha. The image of him all gangly and growth spurt-y and a bundle of newly-discovered hormones makes me cackle smile.

That line was added in at the last second, so I'm happy that you spotted it :D

Thank you for the lovely comment as well~

Oh gosh, the sheer perfection of this- my OTP in Potterland, WHAT MORE CAN I ASK FOR? The characterisations were spot-on and I enjoyed this way too much.

...so there's a continuation, right? :D Chapter two? RIGHT?

So here, enjoy my face with a glass of milk giving you a thumbs up.

Thank you~

Um.. no continuation planned as of this point? I have really weak writing stamina, haha. I can only go for short bursts at a time.

*offers you cookie to go along with the glass of milk*

Brilliant idea, I always wondered what hetalia characters would be like if they went to hogwarts. I wish more people would go along these lines.

Will you be continuing?

This has so much potential especially with Arthur, it left me wondering the story behind his half blood heritage. Does no-one know they are brothers? And so many other questions.

I hope you develop this, it is really a gem of an idea. Well done you.

Actually, it's a habit of mine to pretty much imagine my favourite characters in every AU imaginable. There were a whole bunch of AUs floating in my head for ScoFrance. Mafia setting, bakery, bespoke.. Even a weird bdsm one :/

I don't think I'll be continuing ;__; I've mostly purged the Potter out of my system.

The one problem with AUs! Trying to figure out a way to have Scotland's extended family logically be.. well, family. Considering that they're all from different parts. Half-brothers? A parent with a penchant for whirlwind affairs that resulted in children all over the country? Grew up in an orphanage together so they're considered as close as brothers? Haha, I don't even know.

The way I think the family works is. Wales and Scotland are children of Britainnia and Celt. Ireland is also a child of Celt but not Britainnia, I don't know who Ireland's second parent would be ( ... )

Oh no! It's fine, ramble away. :D It's always interesting listening to other people's headcanons.

I think I have a tendency to fall into that trap though, about France taking advantage of Scotland. Not that I'm saying that Scotland would just lay down and let France walk all over him, everyone has their limits after all, but that these particular limits have a little more leeway with France than with anybody else.

Ahaha, yes, it'd be really great if someone did it with Scotland as his guard. Yeeep, still waiting for someone to use the bodyguard trope in a fic. Anyone?

I don't mind at all about the names! I'm always delighted if anyone uses any aspect of my headcanon!

I really enjoyed this, and love your characterisations and writing style. You write both Scotland's longing and France's charms beautifully, and it's easy to see how the latter leads to the former!

I noticed from your other comments that you don't have any intentions at the moment of continuing this, but I selfishly hope that you do write some more Scotland/France, even if not in this setting.

Fantastic fic, and thanks for sharing!

Aaah, glad to see that you don't mind. I'll have to admit, it was your fics that drew me to the pairing in the first place. There was the suspicious stage at the start, something along the lines of, "ScoFrance? Hrrrm." but it converted soon enough to flailing.

I hope I'll be able to write more in the future as well! The problem with me is that I'll have all these little bits and pieces in my head but it's really hard to sit myself down and write them out coherently.
