Halloween challenge
The chill caused him to pull his leather jacket closer to his chest. He stared vacantly outside the window, seeing only darkness. One glance, at his watch, told him it was time. Midnight.
With tears of joy filling his eyes, Casey felt a tender hand lay upon his own, and he knew he did not have to look up to see the face of Zeke sitting beside him.
One year exactly to this day, Zeke perished in a train wreck, ----this train. And only on this day, could they once again be reunited.
The shadowy form leaned close and whispered his name.
“Happy Halloween, Zeke.” And Casey smiled.
