With so much time alone, it's easy to make their cells into confessionals, each other into priests.

But ouch. I'm clinging to the delusion that things will end well eventually.

I really like it. It's sad and desperate. I like how they turn into friends, sharing their memories, the closing distance between the bars, the way they think about each other and use their first names. I also like the broken up scenes; you show a long process in a very limited narrative time.

Wow. That is really nice. Sad, yes, but well written, kind of a sticks with you sad, like a dream that you can't shake once you've gotten up.
