Let's play Mad Libs with Giles!
These are word fill-in games. You are provided a list of types of words needed to fill in the story (ex. noun, verb, adjective, etc.). Select random words for each type and fill them in to their appropriate spot when you read the story. It usually makes a pretty crazy and hilarious story! Have fun!

Introduction from the Watcher’s Handbook
Upon first meeting your 1. noun, it is best to demonstrate 2. adjective immediately. Without a 3. adjective understanding of the leadership role held by the Watcher, it is likely the Slayer may attempt to take control of any Watcher-Slayer 4. noun. It is best to not smile or 5. verb often during initial interactions.
Slayers may have many questions about their history and 6. plural noun. It is best to provide minimal information, but to instead direct Slayers to the extensive Council 7. noun, which consists of nearly 8. number volumes specifically related to Watchers and Slayers.
9. Verb ending in -ing should be held on a consistent and regimented schedule. Training should not be interrupted for any 10. adjective reasons, such as 11. noun. Consultation with 12. person (plural) may be necessary to ensure the schedule is set properly. Additionally, patrolling should occur every 13. time of day. This is just as important as training and must not be interrupted by 14. person (plural) or 15. noun. It is recommended to patrol a minimum of 16. number hours per week. The Watcher should monitor these patrols, but is not required to participate.
Research is essential to the training regimen, as Slayers need to hone their minds as much as their 17. body part. Understanding the various types of demons and 18. plural nounthat they may face is important for both Watcher and Slayer. Conducting research and 19. verb ending in -ing should be a part of training a minimum of 20. number hours per week.
Watchers do not need to 21. adverb join the Slayer in battle, however, all conflicts must be recorded in the regulation 22. color Watcher Journal. All demon interactions must include time, date, details and 23. plural noun. Speculation and analysis is encouraged for reflection by the Slayer during weekly training.

Giles scratched his 1. body part and muttered to himself. It simply could not be the rising date of 2. demon, the full 3. number years for its resting period had not yet passed. Even so, his calculations showed differently. There had been that earthquake the week before, and a swarm of 4. Animal (plural) passed through just yesterday…
5. Adverb Giles rose and headed to the Bronze. He knew Buffy and her friends would be 6. Verb ending in -ing by this time. Shaking his head, he checked his watch. Only 7. number minutes until all Hellmouth broke loose on Sunnydale - again.
The bass was on full volume and Giles instantly had a headache as he approached the club. Just as he reached for the 8. noun, Xander burst through the entrance, nearly knocking over Giles.
“Oh, hey, Giles,” Xander said. “You’re just in time for the main act, the 9. Band name is about to go on stage. Should be 10. adjective!”
Once Giles recovered his breath, he spoke. “There is no time for music, Xander, we have to find Buffy and get to the 11. location immediately!”
Without questions, Xander 12. Verb, past tense back into the Bronze and reappeared immediately with Buffy and Willow. Buffy pulled out her 13. weapon and nodded at Giles. “Let’s go,” she said 14. adverb.
Once they arrived at the cemetery, the group waited. And they waited. After what felt like 15. number hours passed, the ground began to shake and split open in front of them. “Watch out! It has been known to emerge baring its 16. Body part, which holds a deadly poison!” Giles called out.
With a spray of dirt and a 17. adjective crash, a small object flew out of the ground and landed by Willow’s foot. “What is this?” she asked and bent to pick up the 18. noun. The item uncurled and revealed a demon, no larger than a 19. noun. Everyone stared at it for a moment, then Giles approached.
“I may have misjudged the impact of this rising,” Giles conceded. “Oh well.” With that, he squished the demon with his 20. Piece of clothing.
Everyone stared at Giles, open-mouthed. Buffy shrugged and started laughing. “Well, that was easy. I’ll take it. Anyone up for going back to the Bronze?”
