On Thursday we went to Kingston & stayed at the Holiday Inn on the waterfront. dh had specifically requested we stay there & it was nice in a Holiday Inn kind of way but I have to say that the desk staff could learn a LOT about customer service from the DoubleTree. I'll have to check out Curry Original... I've seen it but I've never been in. Good to know. :9 Kingston actually has a few well-rated Indian and Thai restaurants. No curry shortage there.

Sounds like you and the family had a great time in Kingston! Did you make it to the fort?

Depends on what you mean by "to". LOL. We rented a couple of canoes, went over to Cedar Island which is just across from the Fort and tootled around there waiting for the noon gun. I wanted to get a pikky because we were right in front & the cannon smoke would have looked cool. We could hear all of the orders being shouted but we had to get started back before the cannon were actually fired.

curse them and their pomp & ceremony for taking too long!
