Part IV - Taken

“Are you sure this is what I’m supposed to wear?” said Changmin, a bit nervous as he stared at the mirror, looking at his reflection. The dark pants hugged his legs, as the black coat could barely cover the brown shirt within, the color matching Changmin’s eyes as it too, hugged his chest, showing only a slight bit of skin but enough for what Jaejoong and Yunho thought acceptable.

“Yes,” Jaejoong said, voice husky, as he was laid on the bed with Yunho, head on his shoulder, as they watched their dongsang think thoughtfully, his face concentrated. One of the best experiences Jaejoong had, that Yunho completely agreed with, was dressing Changmin up. It was pure pleasure watching him wear everything they had chosen, Jaejoong wishing for something more intimate, but Yunho had warned him no, saying Changmin needed time.

They had told him they were together, that they were lovers, but best friends first and foremost. Changmin had accepted it with ease, admitting shyly that he sort of figured it out, but didn’t want to say anything. And now they had told him about them, Jaejoong wanted him.

“Patience,” Yunho murmured into Jaejoong’s ears as they watched Changmin reach over to fix the mirror, skin shown from waistband to shirt. When Yunho had said that it was necessary for Changmin to go to winter ball, Jaejoong had refused outright, dismissing all thoughts of the girls, the guys and their Changmin.

“If we need to show him who we want, he needs to know what he wants.”

And so, Jaejoong and Yunho were left with only thoughts of what tonight may bring as they dropped him off at school, saying they would be back tonight, once they finished their work and got ready.

It was nosy, too nosy for Changmin, but it certainly was beautiful, with streamers and snowflakes, the hall decorated so prettily that it surprised even him. He reached upward, trying to touch one of the snowflakes when he was pummeled by KangIn, Leeteuk closely following behind, his hyungs dressed in black and supervising the younger students.

“Changmin-ah! I see you once again look better than us in your black and brown suit!” Changmin smiled, hugging the people who had helped him, people he had become friends with.

“Jaejoong hyung and Yunho hyung picked it out…” KangIn and Leeteuk exchanged knowing glances before turning to face Changmin. Taking a hold of each of his arms, both boys dragged Changmin to the main floor. “I’m sure there are some nice girls who’ll appreciate your outfit more than us old men….”

It was several hours later when Jaejoong and Yunho entered, the doors of the school opening as the hall slowly became silent. Jaejoong had dyed his hair blond, his dark eyes making a striking contrast with his light hair. He wore a white suit, as Yunho stood next to him, wearing all black, his hair done perfectly, not a single strand out of place.

They seemed ethereal, out of place in this simple, school winter ball, as though they belonged somewhere bigger, somewhere higher. Changmin blushed looking away. His hyungs were amazing, he realized from the beginning, and this only reinstated the fact. He began to pay attention to the girl he was holding in his arms, Yoona, and decided it was much better to lock it up and push his feelings way, way down. Push it where he shouldn’t, where he couldn’t hope to bring it up again.

What Changmin didn’t pay attention to were the glances, the eyes belonging to the two men in the center of the floor, the looks given, interchanged, but then aimed at him, only him.

When the duet ended, and the slow music stopped, Changmin could only blindly follow as the ball turned into a mess of high energy teenagers. Everybody was jumping, the girls with their dresses, the boys with their suits, hands high, music pumping through the speakers and as Yesung, the leader of SM High’s rock band entered on stage, guitar on one hand, microphone on the other, the crowd turned into a frenzy, the screams of ‘More! More!’ echoing from the corners of the hall.

Changmin was about to leave, feeling himself getting swallowed up with something he couldn’t understand, something that wasn’t a part of him, but was stopped by a pair of hands gently grasping his waist from the back, as Jaejoong appeared before him, pushing forward until he was chest to chest with his dongsang, one knee in between Changmin’s legs.

“Relax…” Jaejoong said, whispering in his ear as Changmin shuddered, pushed towards Yunho’s back, feeling solid surface as shoulders met chest. Yunho’s long fingers were around Changmin’s waist, slowly, caressing him as his hand went upward, fingertips brushing the skin exposed.

“…and follow…”

They moved as one, Jaejoong tilting Changmin’s head to gain access to his neck, his body pressing against his dongsang’s, feeling the wildly fluttering heart, smiling as he met Yunho’s eyes over Changmin’s neck, before reaching down, brushing his lips against the collarbone.

Changmin gasped, unsure of how to act, what to say, and as his mouth closed, and then opened again to try and bring something coherent out into the world, he lost it when he felt Yunho’s mouth on the edges of his ear, warm breath settling on his skin. He felt himself being lost with the two bodies encircling him, the only thought of rationality I can’t…it’s so wrong, so wrong… slipping away as Yunho’s hands moved even higher, Jaejoong’s mouth moving lower.

“We need to move.” Changmin heard Yunho’s voice from far way, even though he was only a breath away of him. Jaejoong took one look at their glazed dongsang, own eyes hooded, and as Changmin looked up, eyes wide, he felt a twinge of guilt. It’s too much, too early, for him, for us.

“Where? And if you suggest my house then you know-”

“My place then.” Jaejoong didn’t need to be told twice as he held Changmin tight, carrying him outside of the school, the student oblivious except for two sets of very knowing eyes.

“Cough it up, you owe me.”

KangIn sighed, reaching the inside of his suit jacket for his wallet. “I didn’t think both of them would fall, I betted on Yunho, so you’re only getting half.” Leeteuk grinned, grinned too broadly for his own good as KangIn grumbled and complained, handing him his money.

Part V - Restoration

Changmin woke up too warm, his eyes opening slowly, blinking a few times as he tried to turn away and escape the sunlight escaping through the shudders, but as he moved he hit something hard, the body stirring slightly before falling back silent.

In fact, two bodies were wrapped around him, two very warm, very alive bodies, with one leg thrown over his, one arm wrapped around his hips and a face buried in the crook of his neck.

Changmin tried very, very, very hard to stay still, but being entrapped in between two extremely beautiful people, his hyungs, not some school idol he never met, but rather his friends, the hyungs who helped him, who gave him self-confidence, talked to him, became close to him-

It was extremely, extremely difficult to do so.

So as he struggled to sit up, the sheets tangled around his legs, arms wrapped too tight, hands gripped, bodies pressed, Changmin noticed that he still wore his night clothes, the clothes he had changed into, and with a blush, as the pink crept up, that really, Yunho helped him into.

“Where are you going?” Changmin immediately looked down, meeting Jaejoong’s open and very clear eyes.

“I-um…well….” Changmin didn’t know what to say, because he never imagined he would ever be in scene like this, that this could ever happen in his life, ever happen to him.

“Do you have someplace you need to go?”

Changmin stared, mouth open but with no words coming out, and he knew he should be saying ‘Yes, I need to go home, I need to get ready for cram school’ but Yunho had stretched, yawning as the sheets snaked lower, comfortable on the large bed, with one long arm stretching across, Jaejoong’s head resting upon it.

Both of them looked at him, and as Changmin feebly said “…the bet…” Jaejoong dismissed it with a wave, “…if it was merely a bet, than you wouldn’t be here, wouldn’t be here with us. That bet was over with on the second day, then it simply became a way to get to you.”

Yunho gripped Changmin’s hand, looking straight into his eyes.

“Stay.”

And so, Changmin really had no choice but to fall back down, as Jaejoong sighed, pulling Changmin’s body closer as Yunho encircled their dongsang’s waist, hugging him from behind.

Months later, Changmin asked why both of them were interested in him and as Jaejoong and Yunho exchanged looks, they asked him in return,

“Why did you stay?”

Changmin smiled, but they knew. He told them of his feelings, of the emotions he pushed way down but over the past few weeks, had unexpectedly broken free, leaving him so much lighter, so much happier.

‘If I told you I loved you-that I couldn’t think of a place better than that bed, than our bed, would you believe me?’
