This is my 13th post for 14valentines. You can read today's contributions hereToday I iced cakes for Valentine's Day. One for my husband and one for my mum. I like Valentine's Day, not just for appreciating the hell out of my husband (which I do all the time, because seriously he's one of the best people in the entire world) but for spreading love to my family ( Read more... )

I don't think any human is capable of agape in it's truest, purest form. Only God. So I see it as Godly love, not Christian love.

I would give my life for my husband and my son, without hesitation. And if it came down to it, probably for many other people in my life, too. You know, the type of love where you'd throw yourself in front of the bullet that was heading for your loved one. Where you'd push them out of the way of the speeding train and take the full brunt yourself.

OMFG, cake!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm heading to the shops shortly and I am buying a cupcake, just because.

And I'm making Mega M&M's Cookies for Josh this week :o)

(Edited to change icon to something more cake-appropriate)

I think you're right; divine love. And while I think humans do have a capacity for that, I think we don't use it enugh.

I'd do those things for you without question.

Yes, cake! Omg I hope they like them :/

I'm not much for Valentine'd day myself, but your cake looks so very yummy! Hope you have a wonderful day.

I loved the bit about the different kinds of love, it was very interesting. xx

Thank you :)

Thanks! It's interesting, I think, that what in English we just call 'love' is different in different languages.

Carl's playing Wakefield the night before now too, so wooo I'll get to see him!

You know, I don't love anybody. Not like that. I can't imagine myself ever doing it, either. Hum.
