I squeed so incredibly much watching the movie... For a second there, I thought he was going to use a piece of the shield as a component for the power cell... and damn, that would have made insanely great fic. *giggles* He'd have a piece of Steve's shield next to his heart...imagine!!! <3
Hoping to go back and see the movie in IMAX this week. *bounces*
oh noes! did you miss Thor? :( it's on YouTube someplace, btw. (I actually saw it there before I saw it at the cinema... I squealed like insane when I saw that, I swear! ...I did in the theater, too. lol!)
My huge squee moment was the nugget after the credits. Everyone who knew to stick around (having previously seen Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk) all simultaneously cried out "THOR!!" and there was much excited chatter.
I can't believe I didn't stick around to see it. I got all carried away by trying to explain the concept of the Avengers to my friend and totally forgot. It was only when I got to the car that I realised. Nuts!
I forogt about the probablity of a scene on the end. Meep! I wish I'd stayed!
The situation with the carers is very up and down. Most of the time he doesn't like them helping him and he wants me to do it, so he tells them he's already eaten and changed himself and washed and then tries to get me to do it when I come home or get up. Or he wakes me in the middle of the night.
I haven't even seen the first Iron Man yet! I know, I have been hopelessly remiss. Everyone seems to be sqeeing about the second one, so I might have to go and buy the dvd so I'm up to speed ;)
I haven't had corn beef hash for years...of course, now I have a hankering for it, so thanks for that :)
Sorry you had such a rotten time with your grandad, it must have been very distressing (and exhausting) *sends lots of hugs*
Ooh, you must see the first film. I've never met a person who hasn't enjoyed it. Personally, I thinks it's seriously the best superhero movie ever made.

LOL, oh I'm definitely imagining!
I would love to go back and see it again, too, partly because I didn't realise Thor was going to be at the end. Damn!

Sorry you and grandad both had to go through that. How is he doing with the caregivers? Still enjoying/dealing well with the new people in his life?

I know they can't *force* him to eat, but if they say 'now, we know you haven't, we talked to suki....' he might cave.

I am excited about seeing the movie. RDJ is fabulous, and he is wonderful as Tony Stark.

Congratulations on your lottery win! And your discount. And... I'm going to be hearing a lot about Marvel's universe(s), aren't I?
Dammit, you know I'll prolly give in eventually. Billy and Teddy are quite adorable to look at, even MD thinks so!
