Merlin Mini-Picspam: The Dragon's Call

Oct 06, 2008 20:18

The purpose of this little picspam is one of persuasion, corruption and conversion. Look into my eyes; you will like Merlin.Under the cut are sixteen smallish screencaps taken from the first episode, The Dragon's Call. Take a look, guys, and tell me you're not a little bit curious. For those of you who are already watching, have another look at the ( Read more... )

*laughs hysterically*

This was so funny, really. I just love your little explanations, and throwing the UST out there for any non-slashers, or those whose slash goggles are busy being fogged by all the Merlin/Arthur mansex... oh wait, that hasn't happened yet.

As Merlin's reward, King Giles Uther declares Merlin Arthur's manservant. I'm 32-years-old but I proper giggled at that, all childish like.

This made me a) laugh even harder, and b) feel relieved that, at 20, I am clearly not deemed too old to enjoy how silly/amusing/insert appropriate word here this programme is.

You just made a great night even better :)

Thank you! I'm really pleased you enjoyed. I've got a fairly good track record when it comes to bringing people over to a new fandom, and this is part one of my dastardly plot :OD

No way, I can guarantee I'm not nearly the oldest. Merlin bridges all ages!

*chortle*

Where did you get your screencaps from? I've been looking for good ones! I like your captions too. Poor King Giles and his obliviousness to the UST between his son and newly appointed 'manservant'. *giggles in a most unladylike manner*

Also, not just witches, but Eve Myles! Looking rather beautiful, I must add.

I'm so glad to find I'm not the only slightly twisted person who saw a new BBC primetime family show and thought 'slash ahoy'!

I made the screencaps myself. I was going to have a look around for some, but then I decided I only needed a few so I might at well make some.

I loved Eve Myles! She looked brilliant and she really did the part justice. Pity she was only in the first ep.

And you're certainly not the only person to get slashy thoughts from a prime time programe :oD I really can't wait for this to air in the states. I want to see what the 'mericans think of it.

Do you mind if I gack some of these for my next Poke manip challenge?

(Also, it's nice we have some adults in this fandom. I was worried that I'd find myself surrounded by horny teenagers.)

Sure, take and alter whatever you need.

LOL, nope, I think there's a few of us oldies here. We'll teach those kids a thing or two. Hee!

You have to be wary in fandoms with so much pretty, and I'm still traumatized from the last time I ventured into the LotR and HP fandoms.

(and I feel slightly bad about referring to my self as an adult, as I'm only Very Nearly Twenty, but, um, yes. Anyway.)

I've never experienced LotR, but HP can be wonderful. They have some terrific writers, but you either have to dig deep and have a lot of patience or have someone provide you with recs. Luckily I had the later ...

Ha ha, still a babykins! Sort of ;o)

"confused by fruit" made me laugh - I hadn't noticed that, and this:

"this show really does have enormous potential, both as a hugely successful production and as a massive fandom"

I agree completely. A very slashy fandom!

There's so much potential for slash and we haven't even seen Lancelot yet. I think the het pairings will be popular, too, which can important to building up a substantial fandom. Geeky as this may sound, I feel quite excited by it all.

I don't care if it sounds geeky, I'm practically exploding with excitement about this show!
