Summary : Eunhyuk and Donghae have always been inseparable, Friends and family used to joke that they were joined at the hip. One day they are hanging out when Donghae says the three words that will change their relationship "I love you"
It was times like these that Eunhyuk loved the most. Lying on his stomach on Donghaes bed with his homework propped in front of him and Donghae situated on the floor on his back reading his homework before he'd roll over write an answer and roll back into his back. Eunhyuk couldn't help but smile as he glanced at Donghae who had his tongue poking out of the corner of his mouth in concentration.
They had known each other for ages and were inseparable; wherever one went you would always find the other. There family and friend used to joke about them being join at the hip. There was just something about being close that brought them a sense of comfort and Eunhyuk wouldn't change that for the world.
"Hae I'm hungry"
Donghae chuckled at his best friend before putting his homework book down.
"What do you want to eat?"
Eunhyuk bit his bottom lip as he tried to think of what would satisfy his stomachs cry. Donghae thought it was so cute. There was something about just being close to Eunhyuk like this that made me feel warm. Eunhyuk jumped off the bed and held his hand out to Donghae.
"Mmm I don't know lets go and see what you've got"
Donghaes heart beat fast in his chest as he took Eunhyuks hand. How could one boy cause his heart to leap and jump and twirl with just a hand? Donghae might have blushed and if he did Eunhyuk was too worried about filling his stomach to notice it. Did Eunhyuk feel that same way about Donghae? Unconsciously Donghae placed a hand over his erratically beating heart. Did Eunhyuks do the same?
As soon as they reached the kitchen Eunhyuk dove for the fridge. Seconds later he emerged with a small tray of strawberries and an extremely happy smile. Donghae chuckled at his friend who looked so happy with the strawberries in his hand. Donghae pulled another tray of strawberries out of the fridge knowing that too soon Eunhyuk would finish the ones in his hands and ask for more. He really is beautiful Donghae thought as he watched the expression of pure satisfaction cloud over Eunhyuks face as he took the last strawberry in his mouth.
"Mmm they're so juicy Hae"
"Eunhyuk I love you"
Did he really just say that? Everything seemed to go really quiet. Donghae was shocked at the words that had burst out of his mouth. Did he really love Eunhyuk?...Yes. Donghae loved Eunhyuk with all his heart. He couldn't imagine a day without Eunhyuk in his life. Eunhyuk chuckled and time seemed to return to normal.
"I love you too silly now pass me those strawberries"
Donghae frowned. Eunhyuk didn't get it. He didn't understand that Donghae didn't need anyone else in this world. That Eunhyuk was like the air that Donghae needed to live. Eunhyuk reached for the strawberries but Donghae pulled them out of his reach.
"I love you Eunhyuk"
"Yes I love you too now hand them over"
"Stupid monkey I want you to be my boyfriend!"
That certainly made Eunhyuk stop. He stared at Donghae. What had he just said? Eunhyuk was hearing things right?
"What?!"
Donghae took a step closer to Eunhyuk. He looked deep into his eyes. Eunhyuk felt the same way he had too!
"I love you Eunhyuk"
It was amazing how whispering the words gave more meaning then saying them normally. Eunhyuk froze. Donghae said he loved him. Donghae said he love him.
"Eunhy..."

Donghae fell to the floor clutching a now bloody nose. Eunhyuk stood over him fist raised in the air. He looked down at Donghae as if he didn't know him, as if Donghae was dirt on his shoe. How dare Donghae say that to him! Eunhyuk turned around content with leaving behind this stranger who once upon a time used to be his best friend.
"Eunhyuk"
Donghae sounded hurt, like he wanted to cry or maybe it was from him trying to stop the blood from running out his nose. Eunhyuk turned glaring down at Donghae on the floor.
"It' Lee Hyuk Jae to you"
With that he stormed out of Donghaes house and out of the best friend bond that had taken them years to build. Donghae stayed crushed on the floor his heart bleeding with sorrow and regret. If only he didn't say anything. Tear fell down his eyes mingling with the blood.
From that day on everything changed. Eunhyuk distanced himself from Donghae and his friends and started hanging around with the school gang. Donghae kept trying to apologize to Eunhyuk at first only to get completely bullied by the gang that Eunhyuk had recently become the leader for. Soon enough he stopped trying. The two boys who were always seen as inseparable were finally separated for good.
Weeks turned into a month, a month turned into many months which turned into years.
On one summer day Donghae and Eunhyuk crossed paths. Eunhyuk ignored him intending to just walk past.
"Eunhyuk"
A hand grabbed his wrist. Donghae stared at him with pleading eyes.
"Please let's just talk"
Eunhyuk swatted Donghaes hand away and proceeded to walk off.
"God damn it Eunhyuk don't walk away from me!"
Eunhyuk pretended like he didn't hear the pain in the voice, he pretended not to see the tears flowing out of Donghaes eyes. Two arms wrapped themselves around Eunhyuks waist, the owners' body pressing against Eunhyuks back. Eunhyuk froze. A familiar sense of comfort seeped over him. Secretly, deep down even if he wouldn't admit it he really missed the time they used to be close.
"Donghae"
Donghae tears fell relentlessly. That voice, that tone, that was the old Eunhyuk speaking. The one that would spend hours on end by his side. The one that would never let anything bad happen to him. Eunhyuk push Donghae away his expression formed back into a glare. One minute Eunhyuk was glaring at the tearful Donghae the next one of Eunhyuks men and slammed Donghae into a locker. This of course drew Donghaes friends' attention to what was happening.
"Yah leave him alone idiot!"
Heechul, Hangeng and Siwon stood in front of Donghae. Hangeng was holding a Heechul who looked ready to attack back. Siwon looked sadly at Eunhyuk.
"Eunhyuk you don't have to be like this."
Eunhyuks men sniggered while Eunhyuk rolled his eyes and turned away.
"It's Lee Hyuk Jae to you"

Eunhyuk was in his room sitting on the window seal an unlit cigarette perched between his lips. It was starting to get dark outside. Suddenly his bedroom door opened and closed. A glare found it was onto his face. His men knew not to disturb him when he was in his room. He was slightly surprised to see Heechul one of Donghaes friends standing in his room instead.
"Yah you're pathetic if you don't even greet your hyung anymore"
Eunhyuks glare deepened how dare Heechul call him pathetic in his own room. Heechul who if Eunhyuk wanted could be badly injured. What occurred to Eunhyuk as strange was the vain boy in front of him having a cut to his cheek and a slightly fat lip. Heechul for what he knew before was very obsessed with the way he looked, not one hair could be out of place or he would throw a fit. Well whatever or whoever it was that did that was no concern to Eunhyuk.
"Get out"
"How dare you say that to me! You stupid ugly monkey"
Eunhyuk shifted on the window seal so he was looking at Heechul. Heechul isn't one to feel threatened by anyone but there was something about Eunhyuk that sent shivers down his spine.
"You have thirty second to get out before I hurt you"
"And what you're going to get your men on me. Do you even know what they're doing right now! Do you point them out to their next victim! You used to be a nice kid what the hell happened to you! You..."
Eunhyuks wrapped his hand around Heechuls throat squeezing so hard that Heechul was cut off from his air supply. He tossed Heechul aside. Heechuls groan as his back hit the corner of a desk. Eunhyuk stood over Heechul the glare was so intense that Heechul gasped. Eunhyuk turned his back on Heechul looking for something but Heechul didn't know what. Every second he spent arguing with Eunhyuk...he couldn't waste anymore time.
"Do you know what your men are doing now...?"

"Eunhyuk I know somewhere within you, you still care. Please you have to hurry..."

Heechul was getting angry why the hell where there other stubborn people everywhere.
"DON'T YOU CARE IF DONGHAE DIES!?!?"
Tear escaped Heechuls eyes. How could one stupid monkey cause so much trouble? How could one stupid monkey make the almighty Kim Heechul beg for help? Eunhyuk had stopped looking for whatever it was he was looking for. Donghae was going to die? His men were going to be the cause? Part of Eunhyuk was still angry at Donghae and wanted him gone, the other part was saying that he should just get over it and go save him.
"I suggest you leave before anyone sees you here."
Heechul cast his eyes down. Eunhyuk wasn't going to help. Heechul got to his feet just before he walked out the door he whispered.
"You're foolish if you can't see it Eunhyuk"
Eunhyuk sat on his bed.
"I suppose this is goodbye then isn't it?"

Donghae was walking home one night. He felt so horrible, Eunhyuk hated him. Donghae cursed himself for being so stupid. I never should have told him I loved him. He ran one hand through his hair and the other he used to wipe the wet matter that was sliding down his cheeks. All his friends told him to forget about Eunhyuk. How can you forget about someone who is your air, someone who's your moon in the dark hours of night? Donghae bumped into someone as his mind whirled. He was about to say sorry when something cold and hard came in contact with the back of his head.

Heechul was on his way home when he spotted someone who really looked like Donghae getting hit in the back of the head with a bat. Eunhyuk you arse do you really hate Donghae so much! There were five men surrounding Donghae. As much as Heechul wanted to help Donghae, he couldn't just charge and take them all by himself. So he did the next best thing, follow them. He place they stopped at was well out of the way of prying eyes. Heechul cursed even if he screamed for help their probably wasn't anyone for miles around.
One of them stayed outside to guard the abandoned warehouse while the others went inside. Heechul clenched his fist; he needed to take the other guy out but what then. How will he save Donghae? Being as observant as always Heechul found a small trail that would lead him to the side of the warehouse, maybe just maybe that would give him an advantage. He saw Donghae being kicked repeatedly in the stomach just as he was about the scream and enter a hand grabbed his shoulder.
HE aimed a punch and got a punch back. He kicked the guy down and they fell. He ran as fast as he could there was only one person who could stop all this madness, Heechul just hoped that they would help as he made his way to their house. Maybe Heechul would hit them for the cut to his cheek and what he felt was the beginning of a fat lip.

Donghae woke up to find his self in unfamiliar surroundings. His eyes clouded with confusion as he felt the thick harsh rope that was tying his hands behind his back. What was going on? Four men came into his view. Who where they and what did they want.
"Don't touch me"
He screamed when one held his face in their hands. He got hit with a hand that was wrapped in brass knuckles. Blood filtered Donghaes mouth as his teeth cut into his cheek. He got a kick to the stomach which took the breath out of him. Kicks morphed into punches which morphed into beatings for a metal bat. Donghae cried out every time begging for it to end. Telling them to stop, which they never did. He lay limp on the floor, his body screaming with pain. The floor underneath his grew wet with his blood. The cold metal bat was placed against his neck. Donghae eyes threatened to close; a door opened shedding light into the dark room. Donghae knew it wasn't possible but he wished it was Eunhyuk, so he could see him one last time to tell him how sorry he was.
Tears pooled own Donghaes face as he closed his eyes. The men above her where chuckling. Donghae prepared himself for his end.

Opening a door is a simple thing to do it doesn't take much brain power to figure out how. Yet for Eunhyuk that small simple task was proving to be difficult. The white hospital door opened causing both Eunhyuk and the person opening it to jump back. She was extremely beautiful of course Eunhyuk had met her multiple times before.
"Oh Eunhyuk dear I'm glad to see you. Donghae is right inside"
Donghaes mum wrapped Eunhyuk in a warm embrace that Eunhyuk felt like he didn't deserve.
"Will you please watch over him? I don't want him to wake up with no one in the room. Please"
Eunhyuk couldn't say no. He took a deep breath before entering the room Donghae was kept in. He took a seat next to the bed Donghae was in. Donghae looked horribly pale which just accented the bruises all over his body.
"I'm sorry"
Eunhyuk had been so scared he wouldn't make it in time but he did and that's all the matters. It had been two days ago that Donghae was attacked and he still had yet to wake up. A single tear slid down Eunhyuks face. He was so stupid, so stupid to have let this happen.
"Mmm Hyukkie why are you crying? Owie it hurts."
Eunhyuk looked up to see Donghae rubbing his eyes awake. How Eunhyuk missed those chocolate brown eyes. More tears slid down Eunhyuks face. Eunhyuk flung himself at Donghae and clutched him close. Donghae found Eunhyuks actions weird.
"Owie Hyukkie it hurts"
It suddenly dawned on Donghae that Eunhyuk was actually hugging him. His heart flipped. Eunhyuk was actually touching him. Oh right his men came and tried to kill me. Someone stopped them though could that...Was that Eunhyuk?
"Donghae I'm so sorry"
Donghae smiled tears of his own falling down his cheeks. He never thought this day would come and now it's here. Donghae wrapped his sore arms around Eunhyuk.
"I'm sorry about that day. I'm sorry that I pushed you away"
Eunhyuk pulled away and looked into Donghaes eyes.
"No I'm the one who should say sorry"
He caressed Donghaes cheeks wiping away the tears.
"Eunhyuk..."
His name being whispered from Donghaes mouth was like a trigger. Eunhyuk placed his lips softly against Donghaes. It felt so right to have their lips pressed together. Each felt like that small action have broken the locks around their hearts. They were always meant for each other. Always meant to be each others one and only love. With that small kiss all mistakes that were made were forgiven. All the fights were erased from their minds. The only thing that mattered was each other and the love they shared.

Eunhyuk couldn't say no. He took a deep breath before entering the room Donghae was kept in. He took a seat next to the bed Donghae was in. Donghae looked horribly pale which just accented the bruises all over his body.
"I'm sorry"
Eunhyuk had been so scared he wouldn't make it in time but he did and that's all the matters. It had been two days ago that Donghae was attacked and he still had yet to wake up. A single tear slid down Eunhyuks face. He was so stupid, so stupid to have let this happen.
"Mmm Hyukkie why are you crying? Owie it hurts."
Eunhyuk looked up to see Donghae rubbing his eyes awake. How Eunhyuk missed those chocolate brown eyes. More tears slid down Eunhyuks face. Eunhyuk flung himself at Donghae and clutched him close. Donghae found Eunhyuks actions weird.
"Owie Hyukkie it hurts"
It suddenly dawned on Donghae that Eunhyuk was actually hugging him. His heart flipped. Eunhyuk was actually touching him. Oh right his men came and tried to kill me. Someone stopped them though could that...Was that Eunhyuk?
"Donghae I'm so sorry"
Donghae smiled tears of his own falling down his cheeks. He never thought this day would come and now it's here. Donghae wrapped his sore arms around Eunhyuk.
"I'm sorry about that day. I'm sorry that I pushed you away"
Eunhyuk pulled away and looked into Donghaes eyes.
"No I'm the one who should say sorry"
He caressed Donghaes cheeks wiping away the tears.
"Eunhyuk..."
His name being whispered from Donghaes mouth was like a trigger. Eunhyuk placed his lips softly against Donghaes. It felt so right to have their lips pressed together. Each felt like that small action have broken the locks around their hearts. They were always meant for each other. Always meant to be each others one and only love. With that small kiss all mistakes that were made were forgiven. All the fights were erased from their minds. The only thing that mattered was each other and the love they shared.
