Chapter 3: Date Rules
“Do not smoke in my car, do not get drunk and drive my car, do not enter my car drunk, do not puke in my car and most important do not, I repeat, do not have sex in my car, do not make out in my car, do not even touch each other in my car.”
“Heard that Junsu? Don't puke in his car,” Yoochun said and tried to snatch the keys out of Yunho's hand. Yunho moved away.
“Junsu drives,” he said and handed them to Junsu. “I don't like you today.”
“Then don't be shocked to find more bottles of lube in your car,” Yoochun shrugged.
Yunho took back his keys and walked away. “You two can walk. It's not that far.”
“Oh yeah?” Yoochun said weakly. “We don't need you!”
Junsu punched him in the arm. “Why did you say that? Now we have to walk all the way to-”
“Relax, we can use Changmin's-”
“No. Hell no. I heard what you did to Yunho's car. No one is setting foot in my mom's car without me,” Changmin said. “Except for Yunho and Jaejoong of course. They're not going to have sex.”
“Why are you all sabotaging our relationship?!” Junsu screeched and dragged Yoochun out of the house.
“That was pretty dramatic,” Yoochun said when they were outside. “Sabotaging our relationship?”
“Shut up, I hate you.”
“No you don't.”
“I said shut up. And I do.”
“Why? Because we have to walk? Because now we have more time to spent together?”
“Right now I don't even want to see your stupid face, so what makes you think I would want to spent more time with you?” Junsu snapped and Yoochun looked at him, surprised, hurt.
“Fine, then I'll go back,” Yoochun frowned and turned around to walk away.
“Wait...”
“Wouldn't want to burden you with my stupid face,” Yoochun said and went opened the door to the beach house.
“That's a record,” Changmin laughed. “Did you even make it out of the drive way?”
“No. He hates me,” Yoochun said and flopped down next to Changmin who was reading a book on the floor.
“I don't hate you,” Junsu who had of course followed Yoochun inside said. “Come on, let's go.”
“No. I'm hurt.”
“Stop being annoying.”
“Make it worse, why don't you,” Jaejoong snorted. He had been pretty quiet the whole day, because of the bird-pwnage and was now looking at Yunho's portfolio pictures, still holding an icepack against his face“I think you need to beg and plead to make it better.”
“I think you need to not get attacked by birds,” Junsu said and turned back to Yoochun who was reading over Changmin's shoulder. He nudged him his thigh his foot. Yoochun smacked it away.
Junsu nudged him again. Yoochun smacked it again, harder this time.
“So why are you fighting, exactly?” Changmin asked. He was starting to get annoyed.
“He told me to shut up twice, told me he hates me twice, said he didn't want to see my stupid face and he said he didn't want to spent time with me,” Yoochun summed up the whole conversation they had had outside a minute ago.
“I would beat him up,” Changmin said and turned back to his book.
“Don't forget, he said you were annoying just now,” Jaejoong reminded him.
“Yoochun...” Junsu whined and poked him between the ribs with his foot, making him spazz because of the tickling.
“Maybe you should just say you're sorry,”Yunho who just came out of one of the bedrooms with a pile of folders, suggested.
“I'm sorry,” Junsu said.
“He's lying,” Jaejoong chuckled. “He isn't sorry.”
Junsu sighed and flopped down on the floor next to Yoochun. Yoochun ignored him. Junsu put his arm around his shoulder and pulled him closer to whisper: “I'm sorry.”
“He's not,” Jaejoong said loudly.
“You're on a quest, aren't you?” Junsu said glaring at Jaejoong. “You're making sure no one has sex, just because you can't have it.”
Changmin laughed and Yoochun couldn't hold it in. Yunho turned away to hide his smile.
“Just for that,” Yoochun sighed. “I forgive you.”
They left again and Yoochun walked towards Changmin's car when they were outside.
“What are you doing?” Junsu asked and Yoochun held up something shiny.
“I snatched Changmin's keys when we were inside,” he grinned proudly.
Apparently they shouldn't have judged a book by it's cover, because the outside may have looked intimate and small, but when they entered the large tables, candle light, expensive flowers-
Junsu and Yoochun were wearing flip-flops and shorts.
“This...looks expensive,” Junsu said, moving away for a waiter to let him pass.
“I don't even know if they'll let us in looking like this,” Yoochun frowned. “Or if we should have reservations...”
“Can I help you?” a man wearing an expensive suit appeared. “Are you looking for someone?”
“Ehm...” Junsu looked at Yoochun, who shrugged. “Table for two?”
The man looked at them, glared at their bare feet, cringed at their linked hands and was clearly appalled by Junsu's wifebeater. “This way,” he said, not even trying not to sound disgusted.
They were surprised to say the least and followed him. He led them to a small table at the back of the restaurant and handed them two menu's. “There will be a waiter with you shortly.”
“Thank you,” they chorused and sat down.
“This may turn out to be a pretty good first date,”Yoochun grinned.
Junsu wasn't listening. He was staring at the prices on the menu. “I think we should leave...”
Yoochun rolled his eyes at him. “Cheapskate. We don't know this town, and I'm hungry now. We're not going to spent more time looking for another place.”
Junsu sighed and put the menu down. “Fine.”
A waiter came up to them, clearly as unimpressed with them as the man at the door. “What can I get you?”
“What's this madame Jane thing?” Junsu asked.
“Tournados Madame Jeanette is Rabbit steak wrapped in bacon with a spicy bearnaise sauce-”
“We'll both have the sea bass, please,” Junsu interupted. “Is that okay?” he asked Yoochun.
“Sure,”Yoochun chuckled. It was the cheapest thing on the menu and probably the only thing Junsu could pronounce.
“What do you want to drink with that?”
“Red-”
“Water,” Junsu quickly said.
“Red water?” the waiter frowned.
“Just water, thanks.”
The waiter left and Yoochun shook his head.
“What? I can't drink, remember?”
“Sure, that's the reason,” Yoochun snorted and moved his chair to sit next to Junsu instead of across from him. The table was big and round and it felt weird sitting so far away from each other on a date.
“Hey,”Junsu smiled.
“Hey,” Yoochun answered.
“So I was thinking...” Junsu started. “You said that now we're both going to date other people right?”
“Right,”Yoochun nodded.
“Don't you think we need like...rules or something?”
“Like we try not to get jealous when one of us is dating some one else?”
“Exactly!” Junsu smiled, happy Yoochun understood what he meant.
“And we won't harass the people the other person dates, won't try and sabotage the relationships we have with other people in any way...”
“Yeah...”
“We use condoms when having sex with other people because I swear to god if I get syphilis-”
“Ehum.” The waiter was back and put down two glasses of water down on the table.
“You just had to talk about syphilis, didn't you?” Junsu sighed when the waiter left again. “And who said anything about having sex? Do you want to have sex with other people?”
“Oh...” Yoochun blinked. “I just thought...when you said...”
“Do you really want to have sex with other people, Yoochun?” Junsu asked, turning around in his chair to face Yoochun.
“I thought it was...implied?” was the only lame answer he could think of.
“So if we'd have a rule not to have sex with others, that'd be okay?”
Yoochun leaned back and squinted his eyes.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” Junsu asked nervously.
“Something is wrong with you. I'm trying to figure out what it is,” Yoochun answered staring at Junsu intensely.
The waiter came with their food and cocked up and eyebrow seeing the two staring at each other.
“Enjoy,” he said, but both Junsu and Yoochun ignored him.
“You're still not over the Junki thing are you?” Yoochun asked, nodding slowly
“I just don't think I want to do it with anyone else but you,” Junsu shrugged.
“Because you don't trust anyone else?”
“Could you stop looking at me like that? It's creeping me out.”
“I'm the only person you trust with your sex,” Yoochun smirked. “I'm honoured.”
“Just. start eating your 40 dollar fish before it gets cold.”
They ate their insanely tasty diners, Junsu just a bit quicker than Yoochun. Most of the conversation about the three months they hadn't been together and about what would happen when they got back home. And soon it was time to pay the bill.
“How much money do you have on you?” Yoochun asked as he dug into his back pocket for his wallet...wait. His eyes widened when he didn't find it.
He saw Junsu take out his wallet, open it and shake out...eight dollars.
Yoochun was starting to panic. “Do you have your cash card with you?”
Junsu frowned. “No, I thought I had more cash, but apparently not. Why?”
Yoochun buried his face in his hands and counted to ten. “I left my wallet at the beach house too...”
Junsu's eyes widened. “You're lying.”
“...I'm serious.”
“Please tell me your joking.”
“Ha ha?”
“Okay, act cool. The waiter is coming back.”
“Can I get you two something else,” the waiter asked when he reached their table.
“Two coffees, please,”Yoochun ordered and the waiter left again.
Junsu just stared at him, utter shock evident on his face.
“What? I was acting cool!”
The coffee came faster than they had expected and they downed it as fast as they could.
“So what now?”Junsu asked. “The bill is over a hundred bucks now. What are we going to do?”
Yoochun took out his cellphone and dialled Yunho's number. No answer. He tried Changmin's and Jaejoong's next, with no success. “Can you believe this? They must've gone out. Maybe they're on the beach or something.”
Junsu's eyes darted from Yoochun's face to the exit.
“I see your thinking what I'm thinking,” Yoochun smirked. “Bail?”
“Bail,” Junsu smirked back.
And 5 seconds later they were outside running down a random street as fast as they could.
They stopped when they reached a dead end and Yoochun leaned against a wall, panting, but Junsu barely gave him any time to regenerate and kissed all the breath out of him.
“About those condoms...did you bring any?” Junsu panted against Yoochun mouth. Yoochun shook his head. “You still have eight dollars right?”
