BECAUSE NO FANDOM IS COMPLETE WITHOUT ONE.

I don't even know how this would work. Maybe Mike got his start by making pot brownies in highschool. And then he started making the occasional pot cheesecake, and pot souffle, until eventually he was just making the baked goods without the pot.

And then one day Harvey walks into his bakery and Mike wins his love with chocolate croissants. Or accidentally sells him a pot brownie, earning Harvey's ire and THEN wins his love with chocolate croissants.

IDEK, I JUST WANT BAKERY AU.

This AU is so perfect, playing with canon's dynamic expertly! I can't wait for more! :D

This somehow makes me think of Yakitate!! Japan and the chapter where they have to make the perfect croissant! I like the way you're writing the story... I can't wait to read about more baking!

I just read the second part of this AND IT WAS GREAT!!!!! Incredulous!Harvey and Winking!Donna. And The Boy With the Souffle!

one thing is puzzling me and google has no ready answers: what is a 'public' kitchen? does it exist? is it really somewhere where everybody can just cook? would they have an 'entrance test thing' there?

I'm actually not entirely sure about the public kitchen thing. When I visited a friend's college up north, they had one close to campus, but I didn't really do more than look around. It was just a handful of kitchen setups lined up in a row. I don't know if it's something that you see away from universities or not, or even if there's something special you need to use one.

I just sort of decided that I'd make it happen for the story, because I couldn't have Mike biking around the city with a souffle.

No, biking around with a soufflé would be impossible :D

university-related kitchen is actually quite logical! And maybe you DO need a card to access it, but Mike got one from his many "student-clients" that he cooks for to cheat cooking-tests? :D makes so much sense!!

Also love the third part SO MUCH. <3
