I love that tumblr...so many things I recognize, especially simple phrases.
And I loled especially hard at this because of the fandom connection, even though I ship GerIta like a boss (or maybe because of that)...too manny ppl take this blog too seriously anyway
Seriously, the number of times they've gotten "omg this is offensive!" messages is laughable. Also someone yelled at me for reblogging the "you know you're German when...POTATOES." one since I'm not actually German =/. Come on people, this isn't supposed to be srs bsns
And yeah, GerIta is cute ;3; But sometimes some of the fans of it get preeeetty carried away with acting like IRL always = Hetalia canon. As do fans for a lot of ships, ofc.
Ikr, it's just a simple tumblr for the lulz, not the ultimate law of German-ness...I don't even see how those "stereotypes" can be "offensive" anyway (or people yelling at the owners because not everything fits them so it's not valid, I mean wtf), I think it's more about what you know or recognize than what you are.
Well, Hetalia fanon is pretty strong (and with a premise like that there's no one to blame) but in the end canon is canon. And especially in the GerIta case shippers have nothing to worry anyway since at least Germany -> Italy is canon, even if the current relationships may say otherwise ;)
