Barney didn't like Wednesdays. It was hump day, but there was a strict no humping policy on school grounds. Pathetic.

Rilla tapped nervously at the door jamb. "Ith it true?" she asked shyly. "Girlth can vote? And run for office?"

The twenty-first century was wonderful.

Rilla stared at him, then vowed to pray for the poor addled man who was afflicted with demons and speaking in tongues.

"So it's true? A girl could run for student council?" she asked, getting back to why she had come.

"We've had 'em before! Can't say they do much other than their nails, but it's allowed." Maybe this one would be different. She was all old timey.

"What do they do to their nails?" Rilla replied.

"They give themselves manicures to make the professionals cringe," Barney shared, preferring to seek help in keeping his man hands neat and clean.
