Serious Matters

...Throughout my career I have had many upsets, much turmoil. You wouldn't consider just how difficult it can be to care for so many tomes when you're the only librarian, and none are so many will be as concerned as you are, to keep the items in flawless condition.

It has been my duty... and mine alone. I've performed well enough...but due to ( Read more... )

I'm sorry about your books, Mr. Eike, I had a similar disaster when I found my King of Spades in the washing machine.

It can really ruin someone's day!

...I think I would put my foot down hard enough to shatter the Earth...if I found a book in a wash bin...

...and that is really saying something.

G'aw, come on, I'm sure you can get them replaced. I bet you know them all word for word anyway, why not just rewrite them!

...That would technically be illegal since I'm not certified...

...however, I could do that.

...I must truly be growing old...thank you.

Isn't it something? Each time you go to Northern Cavern there's always a centaur waiting for you there and there's always a chest that he's guarding that are full of so many goodies! I just happened to find a few books this time around. Not bad considering I usually find worthless armor and more medicine D's than are really necessary.

...They're awfully abundant for being so rarely seen...I admit. Like razorback cyprus hogs...I'm even more surprised that Kidd hasn't sprung on this investigative opportunity in the five and a half years he's been about...

...whats more puzzling is that people claim to collect monetary units from animals as well...as if animals have any use for money...I can understand Ravens...they like shiny objects...

...hmm.

But I digress. Which tomes do you have for me exactly? It would be a wonderful display of karma if they happened to be replacements for the ones that were recently destroyed...

Ah, I'm sure the boy might find them to be a little too much to handle. Wouldn't want him to injure himself either.

No worries! I also find it strange that a cute little blade bunny would be carring any sort of potch on it. But they really do.

There's a history of the Gaien knights and another book detailing some kind of ship expedition that I have never heard of before.

Well, at least you can be sure it's not me. I don't read. Uh, if I see books lying around, I'll definately cart 'em back to your place?

....Oh? Well that is a crying shame...

...I appreciate your concern for them regardless...that generally doesn't happen in my experience...

Maybe I could help with your pests, Eike. I'm sure I can drive a few out once in a while.

...I am reminded of The Pied Piper...there is humor in this...

**strange chuckle**

...but if you can indeed perform such a feat, I give you leeway...anything for my books...
