 went to the kingdom of calontir. met shiny ppl who do great machines, and bronze casting, and have fun, and stuph. to the right a big dog powered machine

turns a shaft which can turn anythign really.
it goes to a lathe and a sanding wheel atm

What are they making their crucibles out of and how?

the small ones were local clay and 2 parts sand, hand pinched. the larger ones where comercial graphite, made how they make them. i would try a good buff raku after what i have seen. it'd work once ;)
the outside of the handmade ones are covered in fine ash, which acts like a glaze and seems to hold cracks together. for a bit.
