Short, concise description of the idea
When I post to a community with moderated posting, I would like to receive a copy and/or some other confirmation (either via email or LiveJournal's Message Center) of the entry I submitted.

Yesssssss. I'd want this as a moderator so that people would have their post still if I happened to reject it.

I agree this would be a good feature, but at the rate LiveJournal notifications get b0rked, it'll just be one more in the long list of "I didn't get my notifications" clogging the Support queues. That, to me, outweighs the necessity for developing this feature.

Possibly, yes. But I was thinking it could be more along the lines of one of the non-custom notifications, such as "community invites" and "birthday reminders." As far as I know, those notifications tend to still show up in the Message Center Inbox fairly reliably, whereas the custom notifications (i.e. thread tracking) are mainly the ones that have issues with appearing in the Inbox.

EDIT: I went ahead and added this as a possible issue in my entry, because it is a good point; thanks for bringing it up! ^__^
