Title
Change wording on /contact to clarify the feedback vs. suggestions process

Short, concise description of the idea
"Feedback" can be suggestions intended for staff's eyes only too. "Suggestions" is for public discussion in suggestions Clarify that.

Full description of the ideaI'd like a change to the /contact page clarifying the feedback vs. suggestions ( Read more... )

site copy, support, § no status, suggestions community

That page is English-stripped, so ... this might have been better off in lj_userdoc, in fact.

I can't think of better wordings off the top of my head, but if you could give me a better one-line or so description for both, I'll do what I can.

Ha, I hadn't realized that it was (I think I remember it being, actually, just it skipped my brain when I thought of this) but as it's directly relevant to suggestions itself, it's relevant here too.

/contact
.suggestions.desc
is currently
Feature requests for future releases

What about "Feature requests for future releases for public discussion in suggestions"?

/contact
.feedback.desc
is currently
Your opinions about site designs, policies, or decisions

I can't think of a better wording than that, other than perhaps "your opinions or ideas", but I would not want to change that one without input from the staff who run Feedback.

Unfortunately, I don't think it's possible to add comms or links to a translation string without a code change. (I tried, but it didn't show up.)

The Feedback wording change, I think submit a request to Feedback, to ensure that the appropriate people see it.

The Russian part, I think it should maybe be a part of http://www.livejournal.com/contact/suggestion.bml ? Except that page is not English-stripped (but at least it does mention suggestions, although not that it's public.)

oh hi duh. Suggestions could use a second sentence, a "Suggestions in Russian please use lj_ru_support" (in Russian).

Sounds like a sensible idea.
