I think the owner of a journal/entry should be able to mark all comments for that specific entry "anonymous".

The functionality already exists--all you have to do is click on the "anonymous" button when replying. I don't see why LJ should do this when there are other technical issues I would rather see them address.

Your suggestion is vague enough to be ambiguous. A simple reading of your "short, concise description" suggests that you mean that the owner of a journal should be able to convert comments people have left into anonymous, yet some of what you say later suggests you didn't actually mean that, and you just meant that there could be a setting that prevents anyone from making a non-anonymous comment on that entry.

I'm against this suggestions at this point simply because it is vague and ambiguous. I'd make a more specific comment if you reposted this with more detail and described very specifically what changes you want to see or how the feature you want would actually work. For example, what pages or settings would be changed, what would the new ones be called or look like, what specifically would their effects be?
