Good idea! GreatestJournal gives all its users thousands of userpics!

Good one!

Better less icons than no service at all. I never did get how GJ could offer so many! It didn't last very long, did it?

One of the factors that volunteer gossip has down for the demise of GreatestJournal is in fact the huge icon offering. The problem seems not to be that they're using up a ton of storage space or that it's rough on the servers in terms of processor time. Evidently they use a ton of bandwidth. Bandwidth is expensive.

No need to just give them away, but I really wish I could trade the features I will never use (like mobile and voice posting) for more userpics.

I'd also be willing to pay extra for more userpics (500 would be fine, no need for the 5000 we have at IJ). We already have the ability to purchase extra storage space for ScrapBook pictures and voice posts, why not userpics?

*Nods in agreement*

As someone who loves icons and has all her space filled and plenty more icons waiting, I would love more icons.

I personally love the idea of trading as I don't use voice posting, mobile posting or scrap-book. And I too would be equally happy to pay for more userpics.

So we keep being told. But will they apply to permanent account holders? That we'll have to wait and see. I do hope so, but . . . I'm not counting my chickens, so to speak :-)

The perk is that you have a perm. account.

Be satisfied. :)
