Create a settings page for leaving communities, preferably accessible under the Community menu bar in the sight scheme.

Yes, indeed.

Regarding suspended/deleted communities... I think (not 100% sure) there's a URL argument that lets you construct a URL to leave the comm in question, but that's a PITA to do.

There is: it is http://www.livejournal.com/community/leave.bml?comm= followed by the community name. I was using it yesterday when cleaning my friends list/membership list out a bit (ok, a lot).

OoooOOoo...Yeah, being able to go to one manage page and do it there, even when the silly thing is deleted, would be most useful.

*swipes and uses to remove a deleted comm*

I was wondering how to get rid of that.

So Manage Memberships? Seems nice especially if community settings (moderated membership, moderated posting, etc.) were mentioned as well so that you wouldn't leave a community without realizing you would no longer be able to post/comment in it.

That would be a good idea too! Maybe there could be a column in that screen showing that information.
