If you think that this suggestion is short-sighted, can you please elucidate your reasons for that position? I'd be happy to modify it to address any shortcomings I didn't consider.

How could anyone predict that one may want to delete a file they've uploaded/created/whatever.

I'm confused - are you saying that deletion shouldn't be allowed because people can't predict when they will want to delete something, or that it should be allowed because of this?

Either way, I'm not suggesting the deletion of a voice post - although that is already allowed - but rather the (editing and) deletion of voice post transcriptions.

As much as it would interfere with my hobby of intentionally mistranscribing my friends' voice posts with really freaky stuff, I can see how at least the owner of the journal should be able to remove transcriptions. For the transcriber, I'd be cool with seeing an edit-button like what we have for comments there days.
