allow undeletion of posts for a short time after deletion

Short, concise description of the idea
after a post is deleted, there should be a period of time (say, 30 days) during which the post can be undeleted. after that time, the post should be purged, so that it can never be undeleted.

Coming back to this in the wake of the account compromise of sarahtales; I wish so much that we had this.

Seconded. If we had this tool, there would be a lot less heartbreak. At least some way of saving the entries and comments for even just a very short period of time would solve a lot of the issues created by account comprimises and accidental/regretted deletions.

I like this idea. I've deleted some posts which I wish I could undelete or at least read for myself later.

Another option: allow users to 'hide' posts which is like deleting them but they stay on record for the user to read later.
