I don't know where you are located but I use (03) 8807 0934 quite often. It only records for a minute but it is better than nothing.

Other than that, yes please. I would especially love it if I could have more than 1 minute to say all the things I want to?

The one-minute thing is an issue that Support is aware of and is working to correct.

Yeah, I thought I read that somewhere. (I'm not complaining though 1 minute is better than 0 minutes. )

Another issue would be locating a provider meeting LJ's requirements.

...which is to say the last time LiveJournal attempted to have a VoicePost number in Australia, the provider was unable to provide the level of service that users expected.

It'd be nice to be able to simply record an audio file and upload it, too. Not to mention probably better sound quality, cheaper in terms of phone charges, and you could preview/edit it before posting so you're not halfway through a spiel when a nearby car alarm starts going off.

I think the problem is with finding a provider who can offer this service on terms that are amenable to LJ at a satisfactory quality. If someone could suggest specific providers rather than a general suggestion, my guess is that that would increase the chances of an idea like this being implemented.
