Not everyone uses the navigation bar--I know quite a few people who don't like it, and would like it even less if there were ads attached to it. Still, I'm cautiously for it.

To be clear, I didn't intend the ads to be attatched to the actual nav-bar itself. If users didn't have the nav-bar they could just have the ads. But thanks both for your input.

I hadn't thought of the other plus point that makes it clear the ad-bar is seperate than the content of the journal and therefore not necessarily endorsed by the journal user. Thanks for that.

No. It's difficult enough to get rid of that pesky thing as it is, if LJ decides to put ads on it I'm sure they're going to make it mandatory to have it turned.

That's a very valid point, my appologies. I love the nav-bar so much that I had forgotten it was optional :-)
