Ability to enable/disable lj-cuts based on custom friends groups.

Short, concise description of the idea
Instead of requiring one to use the console to turn lj-cuts off entirely, allow specification of lj-cut behavior for individual custom friends groups.

As long as your 'as long as cuts are enabled by default' applies, then sure, why not?

I'm not sure it's something I would personally use, but I can understand what you are saying.

I personally don't favor this. I like the use of lj-cuts as a way to avoid 'breaking' someone else's Friends View -- and I don't like the concept that anyone would 'skip' using it because of some filter.

Just my two cents worth, of course...

People can already disable lj-cut tags completely, though. This suggestion would allow them to do so more selectively.

People can already choose to skip lj-cuts. This is just to tighten up the settings for that.

This wouldn't do anything to break someone else's friends view. You're not changing how things work for anyone but yourself. It would only change how you look at your friend's list.
