You might want to post the part about listing the official journals in FAQ 125 to lj_userdoc - this might get a quicker fix than it does here.

Other problem: people who got used to the position of those journals/comms on their profile will likely swear at LiveJournal a lot (or similar venting mechanisms) while they try to figure out where each went.

True, perhaps. But on the plus side, once they realized the change, all the communties/journals could be found in basically one spot on their list. :)
