Viewing Post Monthly

Short, concise description of the idea
To be able to only view the entries on a specific month. For example, all blog entries on December 2007 only, or all blog entries on July 2002 only

Full description of the idea
By choosing to view a specific month, Livejournal will show all entries only in that month.

You could do this with tags, by having a tag for each month.

not by editing the previous 2000 plus entries i have?
did they even have the tag feature back 6 years ago ?

No, the tag feature is more recent than that, and a lot of my older entries are still untagged too. I know it's kind of a nuisance; I was just suggesting it as a possible workaround that could be done with existing features.

I like this idea. It would be especially useful when looking through the journal of someone who never uses the subject line thus making the monthly overview worthless.

Hmm, this sounds familiar, but I'm not placing it right now. I'd support it as an option, though not as the default for "Month View."

A similar suggestion was posted in the not too distant past, as I remember it too.

I have no problem with this idea but as you say I wouldn't want it as the default.
