Enable users to specify when their sessions will expire or when a privacy screen will be displayed

This is not a bad idea, but I wonder how necessary/used it would be. It's good practice to turn your computer off when it's not in use, and certainly to close your browser. Or is my touchiness about security old-fashioned now?

@ brsnyder: to me, the question is why don't you click on log out? Because you forget? Because the link is hard to find?

Hi - Thanks for the replies. I tend to have lots of programs and windows open at once. I might be reading an email and see some info I want to put into LJ. A few minutes later I might be at a website that has info I want to save. Then I might get a phone call I want to make a note about. I don't want to log out each time I make a post and then log on again each time I want to make a new one. Just about every other password-protected web app I access logs me out automatically - banks, paypal, email - so I just thought it would be nice to have the option here as well. I certainly can't see how it would be detrimental to anyone, esp. if the default was "never". -- Barbara

Thanks for the explanation. I vote for the addition of a 'log me out after x minutes' option.
