I actually would have really liked to have had this option, since I recently backed up my entire LJ to another site and will have to manually re-tag.

Was just about to suggest this as well. I think it's a good idea to include tags in the exported items. It only makes sense that everything that you include in an LJ entry gets exported, instead of it being done only partially.
