*cough* Tables are for tabular data. *cough*

Actually, what I'd like, and possibly for *all* themes for all layouts, is a big image, like for Flexible Squares. Because the thumbnails are cute, but you can't see much on them.

The big images wouldn't reduce the scrolling, but at least the whole width of the page would be used.

Big images would make the page slow, I suspect - I'd like clickable thumbnails. Because I really agree, the thumbnails are to small to see if you really like the layout.

Actually, now that I look at it, the Flexible Squares theme preview does not display images, but mock comments in the theme's colour, which is even more awesome and light. Though that might not be practical in the case of Expressive, because of the headers.

Some better form of displaying theme previews is needed. This is the first idea I've seen that sounds better.

Expressive is a brilliant theme but there are so many options that there is a ridiculous amount of scrolling.

What about breaking it down into a separate page for each set of variants - so all the cityscapes were on one page and all the minimalist ones were on another and so on? You could have a preview of one colourway that would give you some idea whether you liked the theme or not, and then you could click through to all the different variations.

Oh, this is a great idea-- definitely organize it by theme!

Or Ajaxy expand links, so you could click it to see and it expands in-page.

Definitely some improvement is needed. One or more of the ideas listed here would be fine, just so I could see each theme, rather than having to try each one on a journal.

Exactly. That's what I do now to try out each theme because I might like one color scheme over another of the same kind of theme (cityscapes and etc) and I go back and forth between each theme.
