If a deleted/purged account has no posts or comments listed to it's name, shouldn't it be made available freely without charge since there are no real problems with cross-commenting?

It would reduce the number of junk accounts created as a starting account in order to rename to the purged previously unused account. I like the idea.

It would need to have no community posts too, and I'm not sure that's something which can easily be checked.

Purged? Sure. (But I bet they won't, because why throw away the revenue?)

Deleted? No. You might as well wait the 30+ days until the purging. Especially if the purgings are going to happen more often nowadays.

"Deleted and purged" generally refers to accounts that have already been deleted and are now purged, rather than accounts that are purged and accounts that are deleted but not purged.
