I have an alternative suggestion.

I don't think it makes sense to delete a community account from the Community Account Status page, since like the Account Status page for a user, it is for switching between account types.

However, I agree that it doesn't seem intuitive to figure out how to delete a community. I would like to see a link on the Community Management page to the current "delete account" page. So, not the option on the page, but an easy click to find the option.

There is currently a link to the "delete account" page on the Manage Account page under Settings and Preferences. Under Communities, there is a link to Community Management, which hopefully would be the link that people would click when they're trying to figure out how to delete their community. But I also think that having a second link to the delete account page would work, either in conjunction to the above or as an alternative.
