No. This would make it much easier to mistakenly delete entries, or for someone who has gained access to your account to mess with you much more quickly.

I've always heard this hasn't been incorporated because if someone got into your account, it would be trivially easy for them to take thirty seconds and delete every entry you've ever written. That seems like a good (and realistic) reason why not, so I have to disagree with your suggestion.

If you're deleting an account, why do you delete the entries first?

Sorry for the comment. It was not meant for you. However, to answer your question, because accounts are not purged immediately and therefore can be re-activated.

My apologies for the multiple replies.

Several people have mentioned why this is a potentially dangerous idea. I'd still like to be able to do it, especially when I delete an account. :/ Or have a 'Delete' button on the Edit Entries page at least. You'd still have to delete entries one by one but it'd be a little easier.

Hm.

I think that sounds reasonable, actually.

Admittedly, I rarely delete an entry, but still...

Ummm... but there's already a delete button on the edit entry page, or are you talking about a "delete account" button?

Either way, I reject both ideas. Delete account is easy enough to find if you wanna do it, we don't need it cluttering up the edit entry page; and a mass delete button, while useful, has too much potential for misuse should some scummy git get into your (or worse, my) account.

Edit Entries. Not Edit Entry. Plural vs. singular = two different pages. :)

So I'm not talking about a 'delete account' and I'm not talking about a 'mass delete button' either.

I think there SHOULD BE a way to mass edit entries. Not deleting them, but to change many if not all entries to "Friends only" or "private", if the owner of the journal wants to. So, I have to say that I like this suggestion, and I actually wanted to suggest this, minus the mass-deleting of entries/journals like the person who made the suggestion says.

So, yes, please. I'm for a feature of being able to edit the security level of multiple entries at once, so you don't have to go through them one by one when you want your journal to become friends only. For me, it took several hours, and I could have spared myself both time and trouble if I could only edit all of my entries at once.

I beg the maintainers to please consider adding the option of editing security level on multiple entries at once. Please!

Now ^THIS^ I could, and certainly would, go for. Being able to INCREASE the security level on an account would be fantastic.

I believe this is already planned for implementation.
