LJ discounts for long membership holding users.

Full description of the idea
I've been a user of LJ for 5 years now and have brought with me my family and my friends (actually giving codes away -- remember that?). Why not have a benefit for long standing members?

I understand the math behind the entire suggestion that I have posted and this is not some "I'm a long time user so I want extra's" piece either. It is not a horrible thing to want something for long term use -- even if it is a small discount for my yearly subscription.

And if I remember correctly, LJ wasn't always about the money. Needless to say I haven't ever wanted to run off to another journal provider because they (frankly) suck. I've always stayed with LJ and will most likely do so in the future.

This was a suggestion which could mean something to work on or an idea that could be improved upon. Don't get all frazzled out.

I'd raise the point some early adopters 'aren't', due to account trading; having managed to obtain one to avoid paying for paidaccount services but who hadn't otherwise used the site until comparitively recently.
Note: I don't include the OP in that category at all as s/he has obviously been with the site for a long time.
