I'm a little confused by this suggestion. It sounds like you're talking about the RSS feed of each journal. Are you suggesting that instead of just entries, we provide a way to subscribe to RSS feeds of a journal owner's todo list, or to subscribe to certain tags?

There is a way to modify the feed URL to show only certain tags, so I think that a knowledgeable user can already subscribe to an RSS feed of certain tags only. Adding an interface for that would not be a major change. I am definitely in favor of putting RSS information at people's fingertips when they are using the feature.
