Record to a later time

Short, concise description of the idea
I make a record, save it closed and set the timer. After the end of time, record becomes an open (or automatically overwritten as new)

This is easy to do, if you use a third party posting tool such as semagic, where you can just write your post and queue it up for posting at a later time. That's how I always post during my lunch hour :-)

I think the OP wants to write entries in advance, and to have them remain hidden until the appointed time, when they become visible as if just posted, without user (or semagic) intervention.

Understood. I just wanted to make them aware that the capability was in the 3rd party tools -- a lot of people aren't aware of these tools, and they solve a multitude of posting problems.

Dreamwidth is working on this, calling the feature "scheduled posts" so LJ may be able to get the code from them in the near future.
