The way the old LoudTwitter block worked was by affecting the display of the class that LoudTwitter wrapped around the entire auto-post. Twittinesis doesn't wrap its auto-post in a similar class so there's no comparable solution. Without that it'd be hard on the server to analyze each entry, determine if it was a Twitter repost, and display it or not according to the reader's preferences.
So I suppose the first step is to convince Twittinesis to wrap the entry in an identifying class.

It'd be nice if there was a way to filter all posts with a particular tag, be that "Twitter", "Goth Poetry" or "My Funny Cats".

agreed, or the ability to opt in to specific tags. One of my friends list I found by accident while searching for a mutual friend's music, the only reason I subscribed was because his daily photo posts of his two Italian Greyhouds (which he tags meticulously. I love them, but I don't have much interest in most of his other posts. *shrug* so yah.

I will say that is there were a way to make this happen, it would make me quite happy. I often see re-tweets both on FB and on LJ, so there's all sorts of redundancy going on...

Speaking as a user who does import Twitter posts, I like this idea. I import Twitter posts ultimately because I trust LJ/DW's archiving and long term stability more than Twitter's. I would rather offend as few friends as possible in the process.
