Yes please. To be quite honest, I don't want my LJ header to be pretty, I just want it to be plain and functional. It's great that people who want it can have pretty headers and competitions, but I'd dearly like an opt-out.

Yes, I dislike the changing headers. One of the reasons I'm still using an obsolete site scheme.
