Mixed case in entry tags

Short, concise description of the idea
Allow use of both uppercase & lowercase letters for the tags users put on their posts.

Tags get messy already, and I'd hate to have to clean up when people don't use the right case. I see your point but I think it would cause more problems than it would solve.

Yeah. I would definitely be up for being able to have caps in the tags, but not to have separate case-sensitive tags. So for example if I have a tag 'Oxford' and someone else typed 'oxford' it would tag the post with the existing tag named 'Oxford', not create a new one or reject their attempt.

Personally, I'd love this. It makes me cringe when I do my own tags and have to use lower case for the first letter of a name, it's so wrong.

Oooooh, yes please. It bugs me forever that my tags don't capitalize correctly.

Nicely put. If Johnny Depp and johnny depp were the SAME tag (but simply displayed differently), it seems like this could be do-able.

Of course, that said, I don't code -- so I don't know what would be required on the backend...

Anyway, it would be nice, if possible to do.
