Expectations of blogs

I have found that expectations of what I want in a blog have changed over the past 2 years. These days I don't care about people's angst and woe. If I am a friend to them, then they will have either tracked me down to chat, or would have sent me an email/letter ( Read more... )

You will understand, of course, that some of us use our journal as precisely that, rather than entertainment for the masses. I have unfriended you, though, because I hate to think I am boring anyone: )

It doesn't have to be entertainment for the masses. Just needs to be more than an attempt at attention seeking.

One of the posts that I thought was really interesting of late was in a university group that I watch. Someone was having issues deciding on what subjects to do, and if the course was right because they might be unemployed later on. It promoted various comments, but it was thought provoking - it made me think back to my uni life and what i would have wished to be told back then.

I will be sure to make plenty of posts about my scintillating* Uni Life.
Generally however my uni dilemmas are along the lines of wow all this is interesting but effectively my degree is only worth anything to the Tax Department :)

*actually experience may vary...
