*sigh*

I'm missing Ani on tour. This is probably the first tour she's been on in the past (am I dating myself?) ten years that I will not get to see her in concert. Mim.

Here, then, some bits and pieces of the songs that weren't leaving my head today:

Animania! )

music, ani

ahhh, *sigh*.. dear goddess ANi fuckin' D..! i can see her influence in your writing too SM, often so raw that it stings..in all the right ways! hope you get to see her soon enough on the next tour as she recouperates enough to hit the road hard again! if it makes you feel any better, think of all us poor folk that only get tours few and far between. *whimper* :-)

Heh. The fact that you can glean her influence is because I quite often directly riff off some of the lines of her songs that I can't get out of my head, or - hell - just employ them directly in my writing. The same's the case with any of the authors (be they fan fic fiends or 'distinguished' writers) I come across - but I firmly stand behind the motto that mimicry is the highest form of praise. That, and I'm lazy. And probably suffer from lack of originality. ... Yeah, I'll just go with the 'highest praise' thing. ;)

As for the Folksinger... *sigh* It's been just over a year now, since I saw (nay, flashed) her last, and the pangs of withdrawal are swift and sharp. I've been reading about her tour thus far, and it sounds as though she still has major tendonitis issues, so I just hope it doesn't truly develop into something chronic and crippling. I mean... Ani! We need Ani!

(Yes. My strongest obsession has reared it's head. Beware. I could talk Ani for hours. But I'll stop now.)

And to continue the misspelling theme - that should read 'reared ITS head'. Yeah. Typing on a full stomach will always get you in trouble...

and what type of creativity isn't a process of observation, accumulation, interpretation, filtration and veined individuality? oh yeah, highest form of praise & flattery it is, for sure! :-) IMHO it has nothing to do with lack of originality, either, believe me - i'd be the first to lose interest if that were the case, but you've got me hanging on your every (fan-fictitious) word! works for me girl, whatever it is that you are doing ( ... )
