Wow, it's cool to see someone else mention this movie, I actually own it on DVD. I also agree with your assessment of some pacing issues but I totally fell in love with the characters.

Haha, excuse my late reply. I think it's awesome that you own this movie! I found myself reluctant to remove it from my queue because I wanted to be able to find it and watch it again relatively soon. I like the characters as well, especially Simone and Annabelle, and they're ultimately what kept my interest. I thought they had great chemistry... and holy hell, that sex scene was HOT.

I love Loving Annabelle and was lucky to see it in theaters and happily own it on DVD. It's one of the very few good lesbian films out there. Did the streaming version not show the extended ending? With Simone driving and the headline in the newspaper? It didn't show in the theatrical version but is included on my DVD (which is nice, since it gives a happy ending to the movie).

I also recommend The Gymnast as another good lesbian/bisexual film. I actually bought this one from the video store after I happened across it and fell for it.

I did not know it was actually in theaters. Very cool. There was no extended ending, but now I want to see it. I'll have to try to track it down some kind of way. Thanks for the tip!

And thanks for the rec! Ooooomg The Gymnast looks awesome. Just looked it up and it's available on Netflix. In the queue it goes!

Those two movies and the BBC version of Tipping the Velvet are my favorite lesbian movies. If you want another rec, Saving Face is pretty cute and it's nice to see a gay(ish) film with so much cultural reference. I like that it's different then the others I've seen. *shrugs*

Here's the end scene I was telling you about.
