And AO3...where do I start?

Since I've also been out of the loops who fics, fanart and how to use shiny things like AO3, does anyone have any tips or even a simple tutorial on where to even start?

I don't know if I'm just appalled by the layout or if I really am lame and don't know how to use it. Or both. I figured it's about time to get my stuff on here. See what happens? And ( Read more... )

*waves* it's great to see you. :=

AO3 is not really an archive to host art. It's the archive's one big drawback.
phoenixacid recently wrote up an post about tagging on AO3, which may be helpful further down the line.

I figured that much, since it's hard enough to even work A03 when it comes to tagging for fests!

I'll check that link out though! Thanks for sharing that! I've been thinking about maybe put some of my old fics up, but time will tell. That's still a lot of fic to go through. :P

I know several people who do post their art there though with good results.

I know you do have to upload it offsite though and embed it. They don't actually host the art themselves, but imo, I don't think that should stop people from posting it there.

Yay AO3! You should definitely put your fic (and art) there!

I second phoenixacid's post about tagging too!

I'm not sure how to help exactly, but if you need anything specific, let me know <3
