Still red

May 18, 2007 15:40

Since the start of the year, I've been careening away from my preference for warm colors, and have found myself being attracted to blue. I've been wearing a lot neutral colors lately, subtle earth oranges, warm greens, browns and blacks; but if I decide to go all out with color, I usually break out in an explicitly blue outfit. But red still keeps popping out. Today I wore a new black top that the mother bought for me, which I paired with a short denim skirt.

I hadn't realized it, but my accesories matched. Perfectly. I didn't realize it until reading in Powerbooks, lounging with Reza Aslan's No God but God.

Shoes came from the all mighty thrift kingdom that is the "ukay-ukay" in the Great Baguio City. They seem to all the footwear I use lately.

Red ones were a gift, the whites ones were handed out, the yellow one was lying around the house.

I actually got the results this past Monday, and the lab findings said that it was decidual tissue, in other words, stuff that's got to do with the uterus lining, which is shed during a girl's period, or when she gives birth. Mine was just too rubbery, too heavy, perhaps accumulated from not having my period six months apart. Another word to learn: endometrium

Don't you just love being educated?

There are those who grossed out, like a buddy who told me wisely:
It is funny guys do what they can to get into it but are not keen to learn what comes out of it.
One way, ne?

Since my womanly insides are all cleared out and my body regulated to a certain degree, and with all this talk of Jesus II, if I were an uber esoterical evangelical mystic, I'd open my Bible, see this and be convinced that Jesus II is nigh. Thank God Jerry Falwell won't have a second coming.
